About Us
Staying healthy, vibrant, and relevant into the golden years may be a dream for some, but it is a reality for us in THE NEW FLORIDA FOLLIES, Inc., and dance troupe with performers 55-years-and-older staging shows for the benefit of children's charities. We are the walking, talking, tap-dancing example of giving back. We are the older generation taking care of the younger generation.
The New Florida Follies is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization successor to the Original Florida Follies - created by Cathy Dooley in 2001, and responsible for donations of more than $825,000 to local children's charities since its inception. We are proud to continue this extraordinary legacy.
Our cast is made up of talented former Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and dance professionals - plus brilliant choreographer Cheryl Steinthal, herself a former Rockette, creating dynamic numbers to classic show tunes and contemporary hits. Our dazzling stage performances have wowed audiences and inspired old and young alike to dance in the aisles, all while our ticket sales supported children and families in need.
